Gerhardt apointed as CEO Germany for EdRAM

Edmond de Rothschild Group has appointed Thomas Gerhardt as CEO  of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management (EdRAM). Gerhardt is set to replace Metthenheimer, who will leave the group.

Gerhardt will be in charge of EdRAM’s business in the German market as well as the Sales and Investment team based in Frankfurt.

The reshuffle coincides with the closure of Edmond de Rothschild’s Private Merchant Banking Frankfurt office, however, the group said the asset management division would not be affected.

He has been with EdRAM since 2011, as head of Emerging Markets and Commodities he managed a ten person strong team with offices in Frankfurt, Paris and Hong Kong and €1.2bn in assets under management.  He was also responsible for the equity funds Edmond de Rothschild Asia Leaders and Edmond de Rothschild Global Emerging.

Prior to that, he worked among others for KMPG and Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management.
