Hauck & Aufhäuser and AREAM in renewable energy fund distribution deal

German bank Hauck & Aufhäuser has teamed up with AREAM GmbH, a Düsseldorf-based asset manager support the distribution two new renewable energy funds.

The funds launched by AREAM are called Renewable Energy II and Renewable Energy III will invest in European wind-and solar power plants and are aimed at a target of institutional investors.

Hauck & Aufhäuser has been mandated as external Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) distributing the funds.

The Renewable Energy II is a closed-end Spezialfonds investing in wind and solar power plant projects in Northern- and Western Europe, it aims to deliver an annual return of 5-6%.

The Renewable Energy III invests across the continent with a focus on undervalued solar and wind-energy plants and aims to deliver a return of 8-10% per annum, it is aimed at investors with a slightly higher risk profile.
