IEPlus: LUMAS launches online charity auction

German-based art gallery LUMAS has launched the online charity auction “Heal the World through Art” to raise money against natural disasters and wars, helping people in life-threatening circumstances.

Working in cooperation with artnet auctions, LUMAS is auctioning 16 sold out pieces from its portfolio.

Proceeds will be donated to three established charity organizations to ease the suffering caused by hurricane “Sandy” (American Red Cross), the civil war in Syria (UNICEF) and the war in the Nuba Mountains in Sudan (Cap Anamour).

The charity auction will take place between November 21 and 28 on the artnet auction site.

Auctioned works include photography by Joseph Beuys, Wolfgang Joop, Michel Comte and Robert Lebeck.

Anyone can place a bid after registration on artnet auctions website.
