Legal & General investment arm breaks €1bn barrier for German client assets

Legal & General Investment Management now runs more than €1bn in assets on behalf of German clients, according to the asset management arm of the UK insurance firm.
The clients include public sector, corporates and insurance companies.

Fredrik Werneman, head of European sales for Legal & General Investment Management, said: “I am extremely pleased and excited that we have reached this milestone in Germany.

“It demonstrates that our strategy of international diversification is now bearing fruit. I am confident that as more investors in Europe become aware of our capabilities that our European client base will show further significant expansion.”

However, LGIM’s German presence is small in comparison to its total assets under management, of €461bn.
