MainFirst snaps up Allianz GI multi-asset team

German boutique MainFirst has confirmed the appointment of portfolio managers Björn Esser, Timo Teuber and Christian Schütz, the trio left Allianz Global Investors last week, where they managed €bn of assets under management.

They join MainFirst’s existing multi-asset team and will work alongside fund managers Frank Schwarz and Adrian Daniel.

“We are delighted to have been able to attract three such well-respected fund managers for the expansion of our multi-asset team. By integrating alternative investments together with global macro-strategies, we are reacting to the growing investor demand for such investment strategies” comments Oliver Haseley, head of Asset Management at MainFirst.
