Munich fintech start-up offers ETFs to retail investors

Munich- based Scalable Capital has now launched, offering fintech ETFs, the start-up aims to make its risk managmenet technology accessible to retail investors.

„Asset management tends to be an elitist product aimed at very wealthy investors, our aim is to make it more accessible to the center of society“ comments Erik Podzuweit, co-founder and co-CEO of Scalable Capital.

The firm’s offer consists exclusively of ETFs, it has an investment universe of 1500 funds, offering investors exposure to stocks, bonds, real estate and commodities and an online-based service for investors.

The risk management technology has been developed by German economist Stefan Mittnik, Chair of Financial Econometrics at the Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich, its investors include venture capital firms Holtzbrink Ventures, Monk’s Hill Ventures and venture capital expert Reiner Mauch.

Scalable Capital is open to investments from €10.000 on, annual fees amount to 0.75% of the average assets managed.
