Pioneer strengthens German institutional and wholesale teams
Pioneer Investments, part of Italy’s UniCredit S.p.A., has made three senior appointments to its institutional and wholesale client teams in Germany.
Stefan Tölg (pictured) joins Pioneer Investments Germany as head of institutional client management and solutions.
Ronny Alsleben and Reinhold Dirschl assume positions of sales directors within the wholesale sales team.
Evi Fogl, chief executive of Pioneer Investments Germany, said the focus of Tölg’s team is pension funds and insurance companies, and “in both areas, Dr Tölg has a great expertise and a well-established network”.
He joins from WAVE Management AG, the institutional asset management arm of VHV Gruppe. There, he was a member of the executive board responsible for portfolio management, research and product development.
He has also held the position of head of fixed income and cash management at Alte Leipziger Lebensversicherung AG, and a very similar role at IBM Germany Pensionskasse VVaG.
At Pioneer in Germany, Alsleben will focus on asset managers, selected banks and family offices. Dirschl’s focus will be savings and cooperative banks.
Alsleben was a portfolio manager at Top Vermögen AG, and before that with Deutsche Bank in Munich, including five years in private wealth management.
Dirschl joins from MEAG Munich Ergo Asset Manager, where he was the manager responsible for the Bavarian region. He also spent eight years with Cominvest Asset Management in sales and customer service.
