Savills wins back head of investment for Europe
Marcus Lemli has returned to international real estate advisor Savills as head of investment for its European operation following a six year stint in Germany with Jones Lang LaSalle.
Before joining Jones Lang LaSalle as head of its capital markets and leasing business, Lemli (pictured) worked for Savills Spain.
Returning to Savills in London, he will work with former colleague Borja Sierra, chief executive of Savills Europe, to strengthen the company’s European investment platform in this newly created role.
Borja said the group has seen appetite from US opportunity funds and Asian buyers as well as European players for European property investment and is hopeful Lemli, within Savills’ global capital markets group, will “bring the right parties to our European deals.”
Lemli added the wider reach of Savills’ client base to Asia in particular “is extremely important as these investors continue to drive demand across the world.”
Savills has significantly reinforced its presence in Europe in 2012.
Last month it made key hires in both its Paris and Cologne offices, bringing on board Jan Stemshorn from BNP Paribas Real Estate as an associate director in Cologne and David Poole from DTZ to head its French valuation team.
