Schroders expands Frankfurt distribution team with hedge fund expert
Schroders has strengthened its distribution team in Frankfurt with a senior appointment from BHF Bank.
Markus Gerhardt has been an institutional client executive with Schtroders since 1 October, based in Germany’s banking centre.
He is looking after mainly corporates and pension funds, reporting to Carlos Böhles, distribution head for institutional business at Schroder Investment Management GmbH.
At BHF Bank Gerhardt was a private banking adviser, assisting the existing very wealthy clients of his employer, and acquiring new ones.
His responsibilities included strategic asset allocation and its tactical implementation.
Böhles said Gerhardt would help Schroders with its service for institutional clients in Germany and Austria.
His studies included dissertations on hedge funds as an asset class.
