Van Eck lists Mining ETFs on Deutsche Boerse

ETF issuer Van Eck Global has issued two Gold mining ETFs on Xetra and the Frankfurt stock exchange, the ETFs are the first funds to be issued by the provider on Deutsche Boerse.

The Market Vectors Gold Miners Ucits ETF tracks the performance of global small to large cap stock corporations that are primarily active in gold and silver mining.

Meanwhile, the Market Vectors Junior Gold Miners Ucits ETF tracks small to mid-cap gold mine operators that generate at least 50% of their earnings from gold and/or silver mining or expect to do so in future as part of their involvement in mining projects.

Martin Reck, managing director Cash Market at Deutsche Börse AG, said: “We welcome Van Eck Global as a new issuer in our ETF segment on Xetra, the ETF trading venue with the highest liquidity and turnover in Europe. The two new ETFs enhance our product offering and provide good value investment opportunities in global gold mining companies.”
