Ibercaja asset manager nets €8.6bn in Q1 2016

Asset manager Ibercaja Gestión, part of Spain’s Ibercaja banking group, has seen AUM reach over €8.6bn in Q1 2016 and has now over 4% of the Spanish fund industry market share.

Ibercaja Gestión aims to reach €10bn by the end of 2016, Rodrigo Galán, director of Ibercaja Financial Group told Spanish media in a press conference.

So far this year, the asset manager has attracted 19% of the total Spanish industry contributions, the bank said.

Last year, Ibercaja Gestión doubled its net inflows and clients, which exceeded 62,000 participants by the last months of 2015.

Ibercaja’s group has 37% of its assets in in off-balance sheet, which is the highest percentage of the sector in Spain, it said.

So far this year, overall Ibercaja AUM total €21bn.
