Invesco appoints Italy investment director

Industry veteran Luca Tobagi has been appointed as investment director for Italy at Invesco.

Tobagi will report to Bernard Aybran, head of Multi-Investment Management Solutions, and Sergio Trezzi, managing director and country head for Italy and head of EMEA Retail Distribution (excluding the UK) and LatAm.

Tobagi has over 17 years of experience in some of the major Italian and international asset managers and is graduated in Political Economy at the Luigi Bocconi University in Milan. He is also a certified CFA financial analyst since 2002.

Tobagi has been a member of the asset allocation research team at UBI Pramerica Sgr, where he worked as senior portfolio manager, with a special focus on international stock markets.

Previously, he worked at Eurizon Capital, Allianz Global Investors Italy and Efibanca. In 2011/2012, Tobagi was awarded as “Top Gun Investment Mind” by Brendan Woods International and in 2011 he was included among the best managers in the pharmaceutical and biotech sector by the Thomson Reuters Extel Survey 2011.

“The entry of Luca Tobagi in the Milan team is a further step forward in our plans to increase the overall value of the asset management service for Italian customers,” Trezzi said.
