Investec DGF rated ‘Neutral’ by Morningstar

The Investec Diversified Growth fund has been rated ‘Neutral’ according to the Morningstar Analyst Rating applied through the fund data and services provider’s initial coverage of the fund.

Randal Goldsmith, senior manager research analyst at Morningstar, said: “Following a recent Morningstar Analyst Ratings meeting, we have initiated coverage of the Investec Diversified Growth fund with a Morningstar Analyst Rating of Neutral. The fund has recorded significant inflows over the past 18 months, taking assets under management at the end of December 2015 to £1.1bn, from £130m in mid-2014, indicating strong investor interest.”

“The fund targets a long-term real return of CPI+5%, with half the volatility of equities, and applies an unconstrained multi-asset investment approach to achieve it. While supported by a well-resourced investment team and an interesting process, changes to the process in recent years mean that we require more time to build up conviction in the fund.”
