Anima considers Aletti Gestielle’s integration

Italian asset management group Anima has confirmed, in a statement, “its strategic interest for possible aggregations with other asset management companies.”

In particular, Anima has been linked to a possible acquisition of Italian asset manager Aletti Gestielle Sgr from Banco BPM at the start of the year.

“With specific reference to the possibility of an integration with Aletti Gestielle sgr, this would be coherent with such external growth guidelines, given also the existing relationships between the two groups.

“As of today, preliminary discussions are ongoing to verify the feasibility of such an option,” Anima said.

From January to end of June 2017, Anima group recorded around €1.7bn of inflows in June 2017, including around €290m boarded in June.

As of 30 June 2017, Anima had around €75bn of assets under management, up 5% year-on-year.
