Anima hires Amundi’s CIO

Italy’s independent asset manager Anima SGR has hired former Amundi’s CIO for Italy, Simone Facchinato, to head its Multiasset and Multimanager.

Facchinato has been CIO at the French asset manager’s Italian branch since 2011.

He joined Amundi Asset Management SGR in 2010 as head of Marketing, after working in the same role at Crédit Agricole Asset Management SGR for more than two years.

Facchinato’s appointment at Anima SGR came at the same time as that of Nevio Pinna and Fabrizio Quarta, who also joined Anima from Amundi.

Pinna joins Anima as portfolio manager after having worked as senior fund analyst for Amundi for almost four years.

Quarta also joins as portfolio manager after an eight-year experience as portfolio manager at Amundi.

Anima commented: “Facchinato and his team will be responsible for Anima’s multi-asset and multi-manager funds, one of the areas we are focussing on to develop new investment solutions.”
