Anthilia and Banca Akros launch mini-bond fund for SMEs
Italy’s Anthilia Capital Partners and Banca Akros have launched Anthilia Bond Impresa Territorio, a fund investing in mini-bonds for Italian SMEs.
The fund is the first of its kind to start with €100m, which was made possible by Banca Akros’s effort to put together several local banks, Anthilia said.
The fund aims to help SMEs investing in its internationalisation process.
The porject was supported by the joint effort of 7 major regional banks in Italy, such as Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna, Banca Popolare di Milano, Banca Popolare di Sondrio, Credito Valtellinese, Banca Carige, Banca Carim e Banca Etruria.
The involvement of these banks allowed the fund to guarantee a high degree of geographic diversification and to reach out to a high number of SMEs across the country, Anthilia also said. The banks will invest in the bond issues up to 10% of the amount.
Anthilia Capital Partners will manage the fund.
