Azimut promotes Donatoni as WM chief

Italy’s Azimut Capital Management has promoted Massimo Donatoni to the role of co-managing director and director of the wealth management unit.

Donatoni joined Azimut in 2013 as head of advisory and, in 2017, was named head of the firm’s asset management division responsible for restructuring the area.

Donatoni has a great experience in the financial sector gained in leading Italian and international groups, including UBS Italy where he was responsible for key clients and UHNWI, and later in charge of the North East Italy region. Prior to this, Donatoni worked as investment director at Banca Esperia and at Monte dei Paschi SGR.

Following the appointment of Donatoni, Pierluigi Nodari – currently manager of the Milan asset management unit – will assume responsibility for all the individual management teams.
