Banca del Mezzogiorno joins forces with lending firm to widen access to credit
Italy’s Banca del Mezzogiorno has signed an agreement with intermediary lending firm Mediofimaa to improve access to credit for SMEs based in southern Italy.
SMEs with revenues between €2-3m and €50m and staff of up to 250 employees will benefit from the agreement, which offers the possibility of funding both investments on equipment as well as normal firm’s liquidity.
Applications will be assessed by Mediofimaa, which is supervised by FIMAA (Confederation of Intermediary Agents) which operates through its network of agents throughout the country.
Banca del Mezzogiorno is the second Italian bank in recent weeks to announce a wider access to credit for SMEs after last week’s news of MPS teaming up with Italian SMEs association Confesercenti for the same reason.
