Banca Sella places bonds via smartphones and tablets
Italian group Banca Sella has confirmed it will offer investors the possibility to directly buy the new “Btp Italia”, Italy’s government bond aimed at retail investors.
Bonds will be placed from June 4 to June 7, and clients will be able to buy via traditional channels such as bank’s branches and telephone, but also via smartphones and tablets.
The four-year Btp Italia will be linked to Italian inflation and offer a bonus yield to investors who buy and hold the debt.
The decision to offer digital subscription channels follows the success of a similar initiative in March.
