Carmignac Gestion expands offering for Italian clients
Carmignac Gestion has confirmed it will offer to Italian clients a wider variety of share classes to invest into its funds.
From today, investors in Italy will be able to access accumulating units denominated in CHF and USD, and distributing units denominated in EUR.
The decision follows the wishes expressed by the firm’s growing international client base and was tailored on local needs, Carmignac said.
For units denominated in a currency other than euro, currency risk vis-à-vis the euro is systematically hedged.
According to Giorgio Ventura, country head of Carmignac in Italy, institutional clients and packagers represent the new area of business expansion for the firm.
Ventura (pictured) was appointed as Carmignac’s country head for Italy in September to further develop the firm’s relations with local financial institutions and intermediaries.
Founded by Edouard Carmignac and headquartered in Paris, Carmignac Gestion has about €50bn assets under management.
