Cordea Savills has appointed Giuseppe Oriani as managing director of its Italian subsidiary based in Milan.
The appointment forms part of Cordea Savills’ strategy to grow its business in this key market, the firm said.
Oriani (pictured) has been appointed managing director of Cordea Savills SGR which is regulated by the Bank of Italy and in which he has acquired a minority stake, with Cordea Savills remaining as the majority shareholder.
Oriani will develop new business initiatives in Italy as part of the Cordea Savills Group strategy and will also be responsible for investor relationships for existing Italian funds.
Pierluigi Solitario joins Cordea Savills SGR as director of business development and will support Oriani in expanding the business.
The SGR management team includes Justin O’Connor as chairman, Salvatore Ruoppolo as head of investment, Paola Fiorini, chief operating officer and Cristiano Ronchi, director of investment.
Justin O’Connor said: “Giuseppe’s banking background, coupled with his significant international experience will help to drive the growth of Cordea Savills by meeting the needs of both domestic and international investors. We are very pleased to be able to strengthen the Italian management team with the appointments of Giuseppe and Pierluigi.”
Giuseppe Oriani added: “This is an exciting opportunity to develop Cordea Savills’ Italian business leveraging upon the proven track record and good level of expertise of Cordea Savills’ Italian team. Areas of particular focus will include investment products in core real estate assets, financially distressed real estate portfolios and single asset mandates for institutional investors and high net worth individuals.”
