Credit Suisse hires private banker from UniCredit
Credit Suisse’s Italian branch has hired Mario Bombacigno as head of High Net Clients, reporting to Stefano Vecchi, head of Private Banking.
Bombacigno joins Credit Suisse from UniCredit, where he was deputy head of Private Banking Network.
His hire is part of Credit Suisse’s plans to boost its private banking team after having sold its affluent unit in 2014.
Bombacigno has worked for the UniCredit group for the past 30 years, where he built a sound expertise in the northern Italy private banking segment.
The private banker’s appointment follows that of Carlo Manzato, who also joined Credit Suisse from UniCredit to cover the role of head of Advisory & Sales, and of Giovanni Volpe who joined the UHNWI unit.
Credit Suisse AM unit currently manages some €12.7bn, according to Assogestioni’s latest report.
