Eurizon’s Paolo Bernardelli to speak in Milan
Paolo Bernardelli, head of Fixed Income at Eurizon, is set to discuss absolute return in context of fixed income at the upcoming Fund Selector Forum taking place in Milan on 5 November.
With yields continuing to be depressed, investors face the prospect of central banks starting to diverge in their policy responses, leading to a challenge of how to preserve gains made in the global bond market over the past two decades. Eurizon’s response is to propose more flexibility in the approach to rates, credit and currency.
Bernardelli has over 25 years of industry experience, and manages Eurizon Opportunità Obbligazionario Flessibile. He joined Sanpaolo AM (now Eurizon Capital SGR) in 1995 as head of Domestic Bond Funds, and later became global head of Fixed Income and FX. He and his team of 26 portfolio managers manage more than €40bn of assets in fixed income and ‘Flexible’ funds. Previously he held several positions as analyst and trader for Sanpaolo Finance Merchant Bank and was appointed head of Arbitrage and of Trading for Sanpaolo Finance Promotio.
Bernardelli began his career in Banca Commerciale Italiana, where he was financial analyst after obtaining a degree in Business Administration from Università Bocconi.
