Exclusive: Italy’s Impact SIM hires ex-Azimut fund manager Lionetti

Italian asset manager Impact SIM has appointed ex-Azimut fund manager Luca Lionetti as an hybrid bonds specialist.

Lionetti joins Impact SIM from the Azimut Group where he worked for around seven years based in Hong Kong and Luxembourg.

He started his career in Euromobiliare Asset Management as an emerging markets bonds and global macro fund portfolio manager until 2009, when he moved to Luxembourg to build a corporate bonds desk in AZ Fund Management S.A. (Azimut Group) and manage a global macro fund. Between 2011 to 2012 Luca worked in the Hong Kong branch of Azimut where he launched and managed two funds investing in renminbi. In 2013, he returned to Luxembourg where he launched and started to manage a hybrid bonds fund.

Milan-based Impact SIM was launched by the ex-Azimut veterans Fausto Artoni, Stefano Mach and Gherardo Spinola earlier this year.
