FinecoBank top equity market broker in Italy – Assosim
FinecoBank is the top equity market broker in Italy by volume, according to the latest half year report on regulated and MTF markets from Assosim, the Italian broker association.
UniCredit Group’s direct bank FinecoBank has ranked first on the equity market list with 21% market share by volume in the first half of 2013, according to Assosim. IWBank and Banca Imi followed with 11.8% and 8.77% shares respectively.
Looking at the non-equity market list, Banca Imi holds the first position with 22.65% market share, followed by Banca Akros and Iccrea Banca with 17.9% and 9.09% market shares respectively.
Borsa Italiana’s (Italy’s stock exchange) equivalent value of total bond market exchange amounts to an absolute value of €284bn and it has gone up by 1.95% compared to the same period last year, Assosim also revealed.
At the same time, the number of contracts exchanged, for a total worth of about €30m, has gone down by 8.36%, while equivalent values exchanged in the fixed income market have gone up by 19.64% in the first half of 2013.
