Generali first Italian in Towers Watson’s Top500 AM list

In 25th place, Generali Group is the first Italian asset manager included in Towers Watson’s list of 500 biggest fund companies globally, as ranked by assets under management at the end of December 2011.

The Italian firm had $604m assets under management at the end of 2011.

Generali was followed by Banca Intesa (60); UniCredit group (77); Monte Paschi di Siena (161); Ubi Banca (190); Mediolanum (214); Banco Popolare (225); Banca Popolare di Lodi (226); Gruppo bancario Emiliano (302); Azimut (305); Arca (306); Gruppo Bipiemme (319); Banca Esperia (396) and Ersel (421).

BlackRock topped the Top500 list with $3,512m assets.
