Girelli and Perissinotto resign from Generali’s Board
Giorgio Girelli (pictured), chairman of the Board of directors at Banca Generali, resigned today from his role.
In a note, the bank said: “After 12 years of fruitful and satisfactory collaboration and results, his professional experience in Banca Generali has been fulfilled.”
Meanwhile, Giovanni Perissinotto resigned from his position as member of the Board, having agreed to terminate all corporate ties with the Generali Group.
Giovanni Perissinotto holds 25,000 Banca Generali ordinary shares, the bank added.
“In wholeheartedly thanking Giorgio Girelli and Giovanni Perissinotto for their service to the company, the Board of Directors takes the opportunity to announce that a board meeting shall be called to pass the relevant resolutions regarding their replacement by co-opting two of its members and appointing a new chairman,” the bank said in a statement.
Their professional future is currently unknown, but it is understood that Girelli could be ready to join a competitor company in a senior management role.
