Hermes offers impact investing pair of funds to Italian investors

Hermes Investment Management has made available two of its impact investing funds to institutional and wholesale investors in Italy.

Hermes Impact Opportunities Fund, one of the funds now available for sale in Italy, is a global equity fund that invests in companies the manager believes will have a positive impact on the planet. Managed by Tim Crockford, it invests in between 25 and 30 stocks.

Each of the companies held in the fund must be engaged in an activity in line with at least one of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals.

The second fund, the Hermes SDG Engagement Equity Fund, aims at providing long-term capital appreciation alongside positive societal impact.

The SGD Engagement Equity Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing primarily in equity and/or equity-related securities of, or relating to, small and mid-capitalisation companies from both developed and emerging markets. Managed by Hamish Galpin, the fund is invested in 40-60 small and mid-cap companies.
