IEPlus: Italy’s Ferragamo continues China expansion
As part of a strong expansion strategy, Salvatore Ferragamo, one of Italy’s global luxury brands, has opened three new boutiques in China, in Shenyang, Nanjing and Wuhan.
Located inside the Forum 66 Department Store, one of the newest shopping icons of the city, the Shenyang store extends on two floors and covers a surface of over 750 square meters, and is the largest boutique of Salvatore Ferragamo Group in China.
The boutique in Nanjing, in the Jiangsu province in eastern China, is located inside the newly expanded shopping mall of Deji Plaza and takes 350 square meters.
Salvatore Ferragamo had opened a 580 square meters boutique in Wuhan, at the International Plaza shopping mall.
Meanwhile, the Italian fashion group is opening new stores in duty paid areas of Chengdu, Xian and Guangzhou Airports, and expanded its presence in duty free business in Haikou Airport.
“The layout of the new boutiques follows the Salvatore Ferragamo Group store concept, which gives light to a sophisticated and sober atmosphere that underlines the quality of the products by using space in a modern and harmonious manner,” the company said.
Salvatore Ferragamo has been present in China since 1994 and had 63 stores in 35 cities within the Domestic Retail Channel, and 16 doors in the Chinese Travel Retail channel at the end of September.
