Ignis AM launches Absolute Return Credit fund in Italy
Ignis Asset Management has announced it will distribute its fund Ignis Absolute Return Credit to Italian investors.
The fund is designed to deliver positive returns above and beyond those available from cash on deposit, per annum on a rolling 12 month basis, and it aims to achieve this by employing a market neutral strategy.
It is managed by Chris Bowie, head of credit portfolio management, who works alongside David Meade, head of credit research.
The fund invests in investment grade high yield bonds through liquid tramite credit default swap (CDS) and it has €17.3bn assets under management.
“We expect a period of strong volatility ahead and we think investors will increasingly turn to alpha market neutral credit to complement more traditional investments in beta credit,” said Arcangelo Beretta, head of Ingnis AM in Italy.
