ING IM promotes Merzagora to Italy country head
ING Investment Management has promoted Simona Merzagora to country head for Italy, effective on May 1.
In her new role, she will take full responsibilities for the business development strategy in the country.
Merzagora joined ING IM in 2001 as senior relationship manager, and was then promoted to director of institutional business responsible for commercial accounts for Italy and Austria.
She has started her career as international trainee and corporate analyst at Deutsche Bank, and she has also worked as investment banking senior relationship manager at Caboto Holding, part of Gruppo Intesa.
In Italy, ING IM offers asset management services to both institutional and retail clients. The company is present in 25 countries and currently has €322bn under management.
