Intermonte names chief global strategist

Italy’s independent investment bank Intermonte SIM has appointed Antonio Cesarano as chief global strategist.

With some 30 years’ experience, Cesarano will be responsible for overseeing and formulating the firm’s macro-market strategy focusing on rates, currencies and commodities, while supporting the bond, ETF and derivatives team at the firm’s advisory and asset management division.

Cesarano began his career at MPS in 1996 where he worked as a market maker within the main European government markets. After that, he was named head of market strategy at MPS Capital Services responsible for the advisory services of Banca MPS’ wealth management division. Over the years, he implemented and coordinated the preparation of strategies on forex, interest rates and commodities, managing a team of professionals.
