Italian consumer confidence grows
Italy’s national statistics agency said the Istat index has reached its highest level since March 2012.
Consumer confidence in recession-hit Italy picked up considerably this month, Istat said.
The national statistics agency said that its consumer-confidence index climbed to 95.7 points in June, its highest level since March 2012.
In May the index was 86.4, although Istat stressed that changes regarding the poll sample used for the index and the compilation of the data may account for a part of this big difference.
