Italy’s AM industry favours flexible funds

Italy’s asset management industry posted €37.6bn net inflows in Q3 2014, industry association Assogestioni has revealed.

Since the start of the year, inflows almost reached €100bn, with collective investment management leading the way with €26bn.

Portfolio management accounted for €11.4bn of the total, mainly coming from insurance products (€9.3bn) and GPM retail (€1.7bn).

Looking at sector breakdown, flexible funds were the best performers with €10.4bn, followed by bond funds (€8bn) and equity funds with €3.2bn inflows.
