Italy’s Banca Esperia hires Del Piccolo from UBI Banca

Banca Esperia, the private banking arm of Italy’s Mediobanca and Mediolanum, has appointed Sergio Del Piccolo to its Milan-based team.

Del Piccolo joins from UBI Banca, and will work under Theo Delia Russell, head of business development for Lombardia.
He will focus on developing relationships with local managers and entrepreneurs.

Banca Esperia recently completed the acquisition of fiduciary firms Fiduciaria San Babila Spa and Cidneo Fiduciaria Srl.

The acquisition is part of the bank’s strategy to develop its wealth planning services, aimed at asset protection in the current economic scenario.

Banca Esperia was established in 2001 and had € 13.6bn assets under management at the end of September.
