Italy’s Banca Leonardo appoints senior adviser
Milan-based Banca Leonardo has appointed Marco Merati Foscarini as senior adviser.
Merati has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, having previously worked at Gruppo Indosuez and BSI Group, where he has been chairman of Italy’s banking business.
Paolo Langé, head of wealth management at the firm, welcomed the hire and confirmed the plan to further invest to develop the bank’s private banking business.
Following the appointment, Banca Leonardo has 80 private bankers within its network. The bank recently completed the acquisition of COFIB Compagnia Fiduciaria di Beni and opened an office in Florence.
