Italy’s Banca Leonardo set private banking targets for 2012
Italy’s Banca Leonardo is recruiting staff to consolidate its position on the private banking Italian market, following the hire of 11 senior private bankers since the beginning of 2012.
Banca Leonardo focuses on two core businesses: advisory and private banking.
The bank hired Paolo Peveri and Fredy Schwarz, who joined the network of private bankers from Banca Euromobiliare. They are both based in the Northern region of Lombardia.
In June, Banca Leonardo appointed Daniela Cavallari and Patrizia Macagnino in a similar role. They both joined from Credit Suisse.
Paolo Langé (pictured), head of wealth management at the private bank, said to invest in staff is one of the key tools to guarantee the future success of the business.
“Our aim is to recruit professionals with strong experience, who share our vision of the business,” he told Investment Europe.
Banca Leonardo currently has 79 bankers in its network. It had €4.75bn assets under management and administration at the end of September.
Langé confirmed the target of the bank is to reach €5bn before the end of the year.
