Italy’s BancoPosta teams up with iShares to offer ETFs
iShares’ ETFs will be available on BancoPosta’s trading platform online without fees for investments starting from €1,000 for the next six months.
The initiative has been named “Commissioni Zero”, due to the lack of fees on investments for the first six months.
ETF products are increasingly popular among Italian investors as they offer wide exposure, as well as the possibility to build balanced and diversified portfolios, iShares said.
Maurizio di Luzio, head of Wealth Management at Poste Italiane, which owns BancoPosta, said: “The platform aims at spreading the knowledge of ETF products across our client base, as we believe they are suitable financial instruments in a volatile market scenario.”
Emanuele Bellingeri (pictured), Italy country head for iShares, added: “The partnership with Poste Italiane is meant to promote ETF products among Italian retail investors.
“ETFs’ qualities such as liquidity, transparency and diversification are in line with Poste Italiane’s policy to provide clients with simple and understandable products.”
