Italy’s consumer confidence rises – Istat
Consumer confidence has risen in November, but Italians are more worried about future economic prospects, the Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat) revealed.
According to the statistics institute, consumer morale index rose to 98.3, up from 97.3.
The report also highlighted an improvement in Italians’ view of the economic climate, and unemployment. However, general sentiment on future outlook deteriorated.
The economic and future components decreased from 93.1 to 91.6 and from 98.5 to 97.3, respectively.
The balance concerning expectations on unemployment increased from 71 to 74, Istat also said.
Finally, the balance on inflation perceptions referring to the last 12 months decreased from 50 to 32 compared to the previous month. The balance on inflation expectations for next 12 months decreased from 27 to -11, the report also revealed.
