Italy’s Mps expands adviser team
Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (Mps) has added two financial advisers to its teams in Sardinia and Puglia.
Carmelo De Santis (pictured), ex banker at Intesa Sanpaolo, and Roberto Marras will join Mps’ adviser teams in Lecce (Puglia) and Cagliari (Sardinia) respectively.
De Santis will report directly to executive manager Nicola Viscanti; while Marras will report to Roberto Sestilli. Both hires were said to be in line with Mps’ plans to focus on its advisory services division, particularly in Sardinia, where the banks said it is looking at hiring “newly graduates and young talents.”
De Santis and Marras’ hires followed those of three other advisers at the end of 2013: Vincenzo Porfidia, from Banca Generali, in Caserta; Anna Maria Garofalo in Palermo and Federico Gigli in Rome.
