Italy’s MPS joins forces with SMEs association to improve access to credit
Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS) has met with Italian SMEs association Confesercenti and lending institution Italia Comfidi to improve access to credit for SMEs.
MPS’ CEO Fabrizio Viola has met with Massimo Vivoli, both vice-president of Confesercenti and president of lending institution Italia Comfidi, and Aleandro Manetti, CEO of Italia Comfidi.
The meeting assessed the already-existing collaboration between the lending institution and Confesercenti, with a particular attention at expanding access to credit for Italian SMEs in the current economic hardship for the country.
Both parties are equally interested in promoting initiatives and partnerships to favour credit flows to associated SMEs that have consolidation projects, with the aim of contributing to the country’s economic recovery, MPS said.
MPS’ Fabrizio Viola has touched on the support the bank can provide to local SMEs, especially to the more innovative and modern ones. MPS will also extend its credit supply to Confesercenti and Italia Comfidi’s SMEs.
