Italy’s Salone del Risparmio, the annual conference for the asset management industry organised by Assogestioni, has revealed the content of the three days event running from 25 to 27 March.

Taking place at Bocconi University, Italy’s private university focusing on economic and finance studies, the Salone will focus education, regulation and distribution networks as its three main pillars this year.

As the Italian asset management industry registered record inflows at the end of 2014 as well as in the first month of 2015, the Salone will try to address the issue of how to channel industry inflows into the country’s real economy.

Italy’s Minister of Economy and Finances Pier Carlo Padoan and former Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schröder will open the event with a panel discussion on what are the best solutions to the issue.

The Salone will be divided into seven streams of conferences, each one addressing a specific issue ranging from financial education; training; regulation and taxation; portfolio management; asset management and the real economy; distribution networks and financial services and products.

The CFA Institute and European Financial Planning Association (Efpa) Italia will offer 60 hours professional training to attendees.
