Maccarame appointed chairman at Intesa Sanpaolo Vita

Intesa Sanpaolo Vita has appointed Salvatore Maccarone as chairman of the company and confirmed Gianemilio Osculati has the bank’s chief executive.

Maccarone was previously chairman at Fideuram.
Intesa Sanpaolo Vita was created at the beginning of 2012 following a merger between EurizonVita, Intesa Sanpaolo Vita (previously Intesa Vita), Sud Polo Vita and Centrovita.

It has €57bn of assets under management (€68bn considering the insurance arm) and more than 3.7m clients in Italy.

Intesa Sanpaolo Vita, which mainly offers life insurance products, was formerly known as EurizonVita. Founded in 2004, the company is based in Milan and operates as a subsidiary of Italy’s largest bank Intesa Sanpaolo.
