Mediobanca adds two for private banking push

Mediobanca Private Banking has appointed Jacopo Gerosa and Claudia Mazzola as private bankers to work in the division led by Angelo Viganò.

Gerosa joins Mediobanca from the London unit of Citigroup, where he worked – during six years – at the firm’s private banking team responsible for high worth clients in Italy. Prior to that, he worked as a banker at Credit Suisse and, formerly, he served at JP Morgan where he began his career.

Mazzola joins Mediobanca from BNP Paribas Private Banking, where she worked responsible for managing and developing the network of private and corporate clients during six years.

With some 20 years’ banking experience – mainly with HNWI clients – Mazzola also worked at UBI Banca Private Banking, responsible for supervising one of the firm’s private banking unit.

Both appointments are part of the group’s expansion plans, aimed at increasing its number of private bankers to 30 and growing its assets by €6m in the next three years.
