Morelli to join BAML as Italy country head
Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) has appointed Marco Morelli as country head for Italy.
According to an internal note, Morelli (pictured) will join the bank as vice president for global corporate and investment banking for Europe, Middle East and Africa and head of corporate and investment banking for Italy.
Morelli will join in October, and report to Christian Meissner, head of global corporate and investment banking for Europe and emerging markets.
Morelli joins BAML from Intesa Sanpaolo, having previously worked at Monte dei Paschi di Siena and JP Morgan, where he was chief executive for Italy.
In the note, Meissner said the development of the offering for Italian clients remains a key opportunity for the bank.
