Pictet offers Emerging Corporate Bonds fund to Italian investors
Pictet Asset Management has been authorised to offer to Italian investors its Emerging Corporate Bonds fund.
Initially launched in November, the fund currently has $600m under management. It seeks to beat the JP Morgan CEMBI Broad Diversified index by 2% a year over a timeframe of between three and five years.
The fund is managed by Alain-Nsiona Defise, who joined Pictet in October, having previously worked at JP Morgan where he ran emerging-markets corporate business. On the new fund, he works with a team of four dedicated emerging-markets corporate bond credit analysts.
Luca Di Patrizi, Italy country head said: “In the current context of uncertainty and given the challenges to find interesting sources of equity yield, the fund represents an attractive solution to diversify an investment strategy. The fund mainly invests in USD denominated emerging market bonds, in order to reduce the volatility of emerging market currencies.”
The fund is domiciled in Luxembourg and is UCITS compliant.
