Société Générale launches Credit Linked Certificate for Italian investors
Société Générale has launched Credit Linked Certificates Grandi Imprese Italiane, the credit linked certificate for Italian retail investors with a minimum investment threshold of €1,000.
The product was developed by the Cross Asset Solution team, which is part of the Global Markets Italy’s division of the bank.
Credit Linked Certificates Grandi Imprese Italiane addresses the need of obtaining higher revenue from bond products by making available a panel of eight primary Italian societies, four of which come from the banking sector – Intesa Sanpaolo, Mediobanca, Ubi and UniCredit – and four from the industrial sector – Atlantia, Enel, Eni e Telecom Italia.
According to Société Générale, the new product for Italian investors guarantees a wider diversification of credit risk.
Credit Linked Certificates for Italian investors offer revenue of 1.1% higher compared to five-year BTP, Italian government bonds.
The new product is available on Euro TLX platform, with daily liquidity.
Roberto Pecora, responsible of Global Markets Italy’s division of Société Générale, said: “We have always had an innovative approach to investment solutions. We have already successfully implemented similar products in other European countries.”
“As we believe that this type of product, which has higher revenue and diversified risk profile, has got a great potential of growth also among Italian private investors, we’re currently working on similar products to address their needs as well,” he added.
