Tower Watson hires Pasquoni to head Italy investment arm
Towers Watson has appointed Alessandra Pasquoni as head of its investment business in Italy.
Pasquoni, who joined the company in October, will operate both in Milan and Rome.
She joins from the €3.5bn Cassa di Previdenza Dottori Commercialisti fund, where she served as head of investment.
At the fund, she was responsible for the definition of strategic and tactical asset allocation, implementation of the portfolio through the selection of financial instruments and risk monitoring.
Prior to this, she spent over five years with Pioneer Investment Management in Dublin as an asset allocation specialist, involved in optimisation using ALM techniques; implementation of econometric forecasting models and manager selection.
Fabio Carniol, managing consultant for Towers Watson Italy, said: “Even in Italy, pension funds, banking foundations and other private entities are looking to international investment consultants, with high standing, to design and implement investment strategies globally; including the selection of best-in-class investment managers and the monitoring of risk in portfolios.”
Carniol added: “As a result of this demand from our clients, we have decided to expand in this area as we are capable of adding value to their portfolios, especially in the increasingly complex and volatile financial markets. We are already global leaders in investment consulting and want to grow this business in Italy, where we have an established presence in our other divisions. Alessandra’s appointment is an important step in this process.”
