Jupiter appoints new alternative head
Jupiter Asset Management has appointed Magnus Spence as head of Alternative Investments.
In his new role, he will be responsible for bolstering Jupiter’s expertise in the alternative space.
Spence will first work on Jupiter’s current long/short equity Ucits products, the Europe and Global Absolute Return funds, and the Jupiter Absolute Return unit trust.
Most recently, Spence was head of Product at Fidante Partners. Prior to that, he was chief executive and managing partner of Dalton he co-founded in 2002.
Stephen Pearson, chief investment officer at Jupiter, said alternatives is an asset class which is highly sought after and important for the future development of the manager’s investment proposition.
