Jupiter enters Dutch market

London-based Jupiter Asset Management has made three senior sales appointments within its global distribution team.

Paul van Olst has been appointed as head of Netherlands and will be based at the newly-established Jupiter office in Eindhoven. He will be responsible for the establishment of Jupiter’s business in the Netherlands.

van Olst joins from Fidelity International where he worked for 15 years in various sales management roles in the Netherlands and Benelux, most recently as head of Distribution, Netherlands. He also served more than ten years at Zurich Financial Services in the Netherlands.

Nick Anderson joins from BlackRock as a senior adviser for the Middle East and Africa region. He will be responsible for developing Jupiter’s footprint in the region across all sales channels. At BlackRock, he served most recently country manager and head of Institutional Client Business for the Middle East & Africa.

William Lopez joins as head of Latin America and US Offshore, overseeing distribution activities for both institutional and wholesale segments in these markets. He had been previously responsible for US offshore and Mexico at Columbia Threadneedle.

Nick Ring, global head of Distribution, commented: “We are very pleased to have attracted three experienced and highly-respected individuals to spearhead our business drive in their respective regions. Our strategic priority has been to expand our international business in a considered way and where we find the right people to communicate Jupiter’s investment expertise to potential investors. The appointments of Nick, William and Paul are a natural next step to broaden and deepen our global growth story.”
